IFA Housing Application

Eligibility

Doctoral students are eligible for guaranteed subsidized student housing their first year of registration if 1) they apply for housing by May 15; 2) they remain registered and in good academic standing in their program.

Housing for current PhD, Masters and Conservation students will be allocated through a housing lottery. Decisions about housing will be made from April through June; eligible students will be either approved or placed on the housing waitlist. Please note that space is limited and we are working on securing additional space.

Hayden Hall

The IFA reserves units from the Law School on behalf of its students. These are F type apartments in Hayden Hall and consist of two private bedrooms, each suitable for one person only, with a shared kitchen and bath. Total square footage is approximately 610; average bedroom size is about 12 by 15 feet. More information about Hayden Hall, including floor plans are available below.

Hayden Hall

You will be expected to sign a Housing License with NYU Law. The license is, in essence, a lease with NYU, so completing this application is a commitment to take graduate housing.
