Sofia Maria Ohmer

Area of interest: I am particularly interested in how art evokes democratic processes and the challenges contemporary political art faces today. Moreover, I am pursuing the curatorial track.

Sofia Maria Ohmer was part of the curatorial team of the NYU Curatorial Collaborative group show in 2021. She is an editor for IRRADICANT, an online art writing collective and collaborative learning space. Ohmer was also curator of the exhibition "Krieg und Frieden" (2022) in collaboration of the Friedensakademie Landau and Rhineland-Palatinate.
