Masters program
Areas of interest: I am interested in late medieval monastic art, with a focus on intersections of pre-Christian and Christian traditions, landscape, mythology, and the cult of relics.
My Master’s thesis focuses on unicorn imagery in nun’s work from late medieval Germany. Specifically, I explore the unicorn’s translation into Christian theology as a symbol of Christ, purity, and redemption, and the relevance of the unicorn and virgin in an enclosed garden for cloistered nuns.
Outside of coursework, I have held internships at the Jewish Museum and David Tunick, Inc. From 2022-2023, I served as a Cole Fellow at the Thomas Cole National Historic Site. I graduated from Brown University in May 2022 with concentrations in the History of Art and Architecture and Visual Art.
