Laura Sofía Hernández González is the Harriet Griffin Fellow 2022. In 2020, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Puerto Rico with a BA in Journalism and a second major in Archaeology. During her undergraduate journey, her research endeavors related to historical archaeology, nineteenth century Puerto Rico, and archival sources. She has presented her projects at conferences such as the Society for American Archaeology Annual Meetings and published one of her works on documentary archaeology at the peer-reviewed journal [IN]Genios. During her first year as an MA student, she co-curated the Spring 2023 Great Hall Exhibition "Estelio," which featured the work of Puerto Rican artist Mónica Félix .
