Kristen Coy is a second-year Master's Student focused on female surrealism in 1930s/40s Mexico's impact on global contemporary art. She graduated cum laude from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study where her concentration was titled, "The Consumption and Commodification of Art." In the Fall of 2022, Kristen curated "Delicate Nature" at Venetia Initiatives, New York and participated as a curator in the NYU Curatorial Collaborative for an exhibition titled "Open House: Object-making as a Therapeutic Practice." In the Spring of 2019, Kristen published "The Rebirth of the Dandy as an Art Collector," which analyzes the treatment of art as a commodity. Kristen has work experience at Salon 94 Gallery in New York, The Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami and Christie's Auction House, New York.
