Allison Carey is broadly interested in the methods through which art can illuminate repeatedly omitted historic narratives, especially within the context of movements for equal rights in America over the last half century. Allison graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Dartmouth College in 2020, where she independently curated “When Art Intersects History” at the Hood Museum of Art. She has additionally held positions at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Walther Collection, and the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Allison currently works as a research assistant forAcquavella Galleries, and is involved with the IFA’s Curatorial Collaborative and the Artists at the Institute Committee.
