Hala Hachem

Areas of interest: Modern and Contemporary art, Art of the Middle East and North Africa, and Latin American Art.

Hala Hachem is a graduate from the University of Florida with a B.A in art history, B.S in chemistry, and minor in classical studies. Her current academic interests lie in the adaptation of Middle Eastern visual culture in Latin American modern and contemporary art. To complement her graduate studies, Hala has integrated academic with professional learning with posts at Pérez Art Museum Miami, Gagosian, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Utilizing an interdisciplinary approach, Hala hopes to build critical frameworks to study, view, and exhibit the network of referents that connects art across eras and areas.
