The Institute of Fine Arts is committed to providing a positive and educational experience for all guests and participants who attend our public programming.
Examples of behavior that contributes to creating a positive environment include:

Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences

Gracefully accepting constructive criticism
Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

Intimidation, stalking, or harassment of others in any form

Threats, insults, or ad hominem attacks

Unwelcome sexual attention, advances, or physical contact

Excessive consumption of event food and beverages

Disruption of programming

Conduct that threatens the safety of participants or the community

Offensive or degrading remarks, verbal abuse, or other hostile behavior such as insulting, teasing, mocking, degrading or ridiculing another person or group; excessive swearing or obscenities

Racial slurs, derogatory remarks about a person's accent, or display of racially offensive symbols

Unwelcome or inappropriate physical contact, comments, questions, advances, jokes, epithets or demands
When asked by Institute staff or event organizers, guests and participants are expected to stop engaging in inappropriate behavior immediately.
In response to violations of this code of conduct, Institute staff and event organizers will take appropriate action, which may include expulsion from the premises.
