Sehyun Park
PhD Candidate
Areas of interest: Medieval East Asian Art.
Sehyun Park is a second-year PhD student specializing in decorative arts and material culture of East Asia from the 10th to 14th centuries. Her research examines the role of the sea as an active agent in cross-cultural exchanges that shaped the materiality and meanings of objects. She holds an MA in Art History and a BFA in Painting from Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea. Prior to joining the Institute, Sehyun gained experience at the Seoul Museum of History and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
