Quinn R. Bolte is a PhD student at the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU, studying the art and archaeology of Late Antiquity in the Eastern Mediterranean. Her dissertation focuses on the myriad of glass finds from the ancient city of Aphrodisias in Asia Minor, guided by questions of how material studies and social history intersect. Her additional research interests include production and commerce across the Eastern Mediterranean, the role of women in Late Antique society, and reconstructing physical engagement with objects and architectural space.
