Mapping the Institute's Alumni was designed in house at The Institute of Fine Arts. The map is powered by d3.js, an open-source JavaScript library for visualizing data.
Jason Varone was the lead designer and project manager for Mapping IFA Alumni. Sagar Mohite provided data visualization for version 1.0, with additonal features added by Yining Shi in v.1.1. Junqi Zhang contributed design changes and new features for v2.0 of the map, which launched in January, 2026.
